Team Grants

AV Athletic Boosters are excited to offer grants to our Athletic Teams to help with expenses for items which will benefit the team for seasons to come.

These grants can cover team equipment, infrastructure upgrades and other non-recurring expenses - please see the image below for examples of the type of expenses that may or may not be covered by a grant .

GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Submit your Grant Application Form here - Team Grant Application

  2. Grant Applications will be reviewed by the Athletic Director and when passed by the AD will be taken to the AV Athletic Boosters Board for approval.

  3. You will be notified if your grant has been successful.

GRANT APPLICATION RULES

  1. Grants will be awarded twice a year. Applications for Round 2 2024-25, closes March 31st, 2025

  2. Teams do not need to be in season to apply - all sports will be considered in both award periods.

  3. Coaches must be made aware of an application before it is submitted.

  4. Grant limit of max. $10,000 per team per year.

  5. Teams may only receive one grant per academic year.

  6. Grants will not be awarded retrospectively - please apply before items are purchased.

  7. Grants will only be considered for non-recurring expenses - please see example table.

  8. To be considered for grant funding, all teams must meet the following criteria for participation at the Boosters Annual Fundraiser ‘Purple and Gold Event’:

    • Attendance: At a minimum, either a coach or assistant coach must attend the Purple and Gold event (in the event that there is only 1 coach for a team and they are unavailable due to conflict, then a team manager may represent the team at the event)

    • Auction Participation: Teams must contribute to the event's auction by providing either a live auction item or a basket.
