Can I collect donations online for Team Expenses?

Contact Laurie Whiteland to setup a campaign that can accept online donations through Future Fund. There is a small service charge for these transactions but we have negotiated a very low rate. You can also collect donations by check payable to AV Athletic Boosters with your team name as a note. Checks need to be handed into the Activities desk (C/O Laurie Whiteland/ Chris Lovelock, AVHS Athletic Boosters)

How can I reward our coaches and still comply with 501c3?

None of this can go through Boosters. They can collect cash themselves from parents and then buy whatever they wish for the coach using that money. No checks will be written for reimbursements of coach or volunteer gifts. These are not legitimate non-profit expenses and cannot be reimbursed or go through boosters.

My team needs starting cash for an event

If you need starting cash for an event, please contact Laurie Whiteland at least 7 days prior to the event to stating how much you need and when you need it.

What items can be reimbursed?

Uniforms, equipment, team training expenses, spirit wear, banquet expenses (with receipt, NO GIFT CARDS), athlete recognition, tournament home, tournament away (including hotel/transport) for coaches/team, fundraising.

What items will not be reimbursed?

Food and drink for team buildings/meetings (donuts, sandwiches, pizza, etc), Pasta feeds, cookie nights, personal care items, items for an individual, amusement parks, parent expenses, gifts for coaches, gifts for volunteers.
